If you're experiencing login or account-related issues with MacUpdate Desktop, follow these steps.

1) First log out of the MacUpdate Desktop app and your account on macupdate.com, then launch your primary browser and clear your cookies and cache. 


2) You should also launch Keychain Access from the Utilities folder within your Applications folder and find and delete any keychain items related to MacUpdate Desktop. 


3) After doing this, relaunch MacUpdate Desktop while holding ⌘⌥ (Command + Option) in order to reset MacUpdate Desktop’s preferences list file.


MacUpdate Desktop uses your browser's cookies to quickly log into your account, but if the session on your browser is compromised it can cause some account-related problems within MacUpdate Desktop.
